Eastbury news

Congratulations

To Tracy and Bob of The Cottage. They are engaged!

Moving to Eastbury on 5th November

Hello

We are moving to Eastbury this coming Friday, and were wondering if there were any Bonfire/Fireworks displays happening in the village or nearby.
Also were wondering what community activities and events there are coming up so that we can get involved.

Thanks!
Sarah and Tim

To whom it may concern

I have just found some old certificates that state that a David James Batt was born on 1st October 1875 in Eastbury, Berks to Sarah & John Batt, John Batt profession stated grocer & baker. I uploaded the book which was published in 2003 and found that a John Batt operated the Plume of Feathers or in its early years called the Prince of Wales during the 1870s and 1880s.
I just wondered if anyone would be kind enough to reply if they have anymore information for me.
Kind regards
Sarah Williams

Goodbye

We wish Jane & Malcohm Lazarus formally of Garden Cottage good luck in their new home near Marlbrough. Their intelligence and wit will be missed.
